Adding bolt-on horsepower to the 997 turbo is a continuous quest by many enthusiasts looking for more power. reverting back to old tuning technologies, agency power has developed a larger throttle body and plenum kit for the Porsche 997 turbo to gain added performance. the point of a larger throttle body is to get in more air. The more air you bring in, the more power you make. The 997 turbo's engine intake system works off pulses, so how that air is diverted to either side of the engine is not as important as the volume incoming.

With the success of our ypipe kit on the 996tt and 997tt, we did a hybrid and built this new part to work with the OEM intake on the 997.2 turbo. Airflow restrictions can always hamper performance and power and this part like any other does that as well. Our ypipe kit has smooth mandrel 3inch bends from a 4inch collector that goes to the throttlebody. For fitment reasons, we then neck down to 2.25inches to fit on the stock boost hoses. We have incorporated all fittings/sensors that are required.

As the horsepower on your 997 turbo increases, so does the need for preventative products to ensure your boost is holding strong. The stock boost hoses are much like a rubber brake line that expands outwards under pressure. This causes a loss in boost pressure and can sometimes relate to the hose blowing off the turbo or y-pipe leaving you stranded. Because the agency power silicone boost hoses are made from 4ply silicone with cnc machined 6061 aluminum ends, they will never pop off. The property of the silicone also keeps it at a fixed circumference as the silicone will not expand.

One of the most important upgrades for the Porsche 996, Cayenne turbo or panamera turbo is to replace the factory Bosch diverter valves. The factory valves are prone to leaking pressure under increased boost when the car has an upgraded ecu flash. As well, the factory Bosch valves will taper boost off with the diaphragm design even at stock boost levels.
