Why replace the OEM diverter valve with an "FVD diverter valve"?
Under higher boost pressures the Bosch valve can start to leak (plastic housing). The plastic cover begins to lift off the sealing face as the internal spring's resistance is exceeded. Our diverter valve is made out of aluminum.

One of the most important upgrades for the Porsche 996, Cayenne turbo or panamera turbo is to replace the factory Bosch diverter valves. The factory valves are prone to leaking pressure under increased boost when the car has an upgraded ecu flash. From the factory, Porsches turbo models come with a bulky, restrictive cast intake air distributor plenum and inadequate diameter piping to the intake side of the turbochargers. This piping also causes a difference in boost pressure of up to .3 bar between the left and right side turbos and is not suited for higher horsepower applications.
In order to obtain tuning gains over 530 hp for turbocharged vehicles it is necessary to install our FVD intake plenum kit. The lightweight aluminum FVD intake plenum kit balances the boost pressure between the turbochargers and significantly increases the volume of the intake air to the turbos.

Adding bolt-on horsepower to the 997 turbo is a continuous quest by many enthusiasts looking for more power. reverting back to old tuning technologies, agency power has developed a larger throttle body and plenum kit for the Porsche 997 turbo to gain added performance. the point of a larger throttle body is to get in more air.
