It is a device called a triangulated shock tower brace designed to tune your suspension by maintaining your tire 's flat contact patch under hard cornering and braking. This is not an easy task without the proper equipment but what an incredible improvement when engineered correctly! Connecting the top two points of the suspension with a single bar with flexible rod ends creates a moving trapezoid which provides no more resistance to cornering forces.
