This is a 1974 914 2.0L that was purchased by my father in the 1980's from an FBI Agent. The car was driven for quite some time and has been painted a couple of times. The first time the painter convinced my Dad to do a three color pant job that started at a lighter blue on the front, then a little darker blue in the middle, and then a dark blue on the back section, yeah it was as ugly as it sounds. Then it was painted the current color which is a pearl white. It probably needs to be repainted as the person who did it did not new a good job and it does have some scratches. To my knowledge it has never been in a wreck only painted. The bumpers have been replaced with fiberglass pieces on both the front and back. The interior is in good shape. There is one tear in the back panel and one in the middle console, the seat bottoms were recovered some years ago. The dash appears to be a good shape. The odometer is not working and has not worked in a while so I am not sure about the number of miles on the car. The fuel injection was taken off the car a while back and it now has a carb on it. I never could get it to run correctly and put it in the garage about 5 years ago and have not done anything with it since. I still have many of the parts from when that change was made and they will go with the car. I am not an expert on these cars but I have not seen a lot of rust on it. There is some in the back trunk and it appears to be mostly on the surface. There is a little rust on the battery tray but it is still attached and pretty stable. I tried to look underneath and it did not see any bad rust. For the majority of the past 20 years the car has been in a garage and not exposed to the elements.
