History I have not documented the history but do believe the following to be accurate: Built in December 1973 as a 2.0L, 4-cylinder in Olympia Blue. Purchased new and owned for several years by a Brumos employee. Around 1993 it was sold to a parachute manufacturer in Deland, Fl. who installed the freshly rebuilt 1967 911 S motor. Following the 1995 Rolex 24, Cole Scrogham of G&W, now Synergy Racing, and I inspected the car and found it to be in exceptional condition. The battery tray had been removed and the battery relocated to the trunk but it otherwise was a remarkable rust, free dent free example needing only trim work, fit & finish and proper prep. It had 2 budget paint jobs, one in the 80’s and one in the early 90’s Both jobs were outside only, the first to Alaska Blue Metallic and then back to Olympia Blue. I rebuilt the transmission in 1995 with new syncro rings, dog teeth and a new 1 st / reverse gear. Most of the race preparation work was completed in 1996 at G&W (now Synergy racing) under the direction of Cole Scrogham. In 2000, Kirk Schueman, Automotivation II, did a very fine prep and first rate paint job. He also matched the Targa top to the body color. The result is great, maybe too great. I have only vintage raced the car twice since then. I enjoy it regularly as a driver finding every chance I can to exploit its race car roots. Known Defects
  • Touched up scratch on the lip of the right rear wheel arch (see photo)
    • No rust or bubbles
  • Sail panel trim and seals shows some age
  • Transmission output shaft seal starting to show age, forks could be better aligned
  • Oxygen sensor gauge needs service,
    • sensor is fine
  • This is a great driver. If your goal is to have a national show car that’s too nice to drive, expect to do some work.
