The worst thing about this car is that the daffy owner color changed this car from its original ancona blue (Dr. 914s favorite 75 76 color, and originally a special order from the factory) to a muddy gray color. The best thing is that it is truly a one owner never been damaged nor rusted very very last of the breed! Manufactured in 12/76 (no 1976 914 was EVER made in the year 1976) and delivered to the dealer Neufeld Porsche in Burlingame, California, and finally in March of 1976 to its current owner, this car has been carefully driven and maintained throughout its 141 thousand mile history. Living in California and Texas only, this car has never seen salted roads so has never suffered from it, and only the battery tray and support have been replaced. In 1986 with the factory clear coat flaking, the car had its repaint. In 2005 we at Automobile Atlanta tore down and meticulously rebuilt the engine and added brand new air conditioning made by the same guy who originally manufactured it for Volkswagen of America, but now much much improved yet retaining the original look.

We believe that the 76 models are the most valuable of all of the four cylinder models as they were the last year for the marque, and the lowest production. In addition this car is of 12/75 production being one of the last to roll off of the assembly line. You will be absolutely delighted in this car, and with careful attention to a correct factory look repaint, have a true collectors item and a lot of fun for years to come.
