This Porsche 550 Spyder replica is as close as it gets to the real thing, not some cheap kit car knockoff. Built on a replica 550 tube frame chassis, the car features an actual 50s Porsche 550 transmission, a 64 356 SC engine, original 356 carrera aluminum drum braking system, 356 carrera remote oil cooler and tank, and genuine 356 instruments, switches and steering wheel. The only real difference besides not having a carera engine, is the fact that it has a fiberglass body rather than an aluminum one. This car is so exact in look that it even has the left front lens missing (but included in the sale) to exactly replicate the famous James Dean’s car as pictured in front of the gas pumps.
