Weekend Fifteen

| Finally the car is coming out of the
paint shop. The rear fiberglass deack looks good, and once bolted
back onto the car we rolled it back out into the sunlight. Several
weekends have passed and I was beginning to wonder if the car would
see the light of day ever again. If I didn't know better I would
think George is sabotaging the car for not being an original restoration. |

| McLean and I do a final inspection.
Of course inspection have been happening throughout the paint process,
but this is pass or miss day. By now all the pick lists should have
been taken care of. Thank goodness this is not a concours car, the
attention to detail is not what I had expected. |

| The light ivory color looks great. The
dash needs some clean up. It is not overspray, it is dust from bodywork
and usual shop grime. New upper dash face along with the new dash
we have planned should spruce this up nicely. |

| These hoodpins are the same as on our
last six in the showroom/museum. You see both round and squre hood
pin plates on the GT cars. I prefer the round, but there are those
that like the square ones. Either way you'll note that some fabrication
must be done to accomodate the lower pin. |
| The upper pin can be placed in the hood
stop. If you chose the factory location, you may find that the area
must be bent slightly to allow the pin to go through the hood in the
optimum location. |

| Hood pins are a great addition to any
fiberglass hood. |
