Weekend Twenty-three
Sean and Matt have put the front suspension in the car. Wow! All those powder painted pieces look terriffic! Click here for our front axle section parts.
The steering rack is placed in the car. Sean also put the front swaybar in the 914.
Matt continues on the engine with the lighened flywheel, Spec pressure plate and Spec clutch disc. You can also se the fan in place.
Matt is ready to fit the engine and run our new fuel injection.
Engine in the car. Those intakes and throttle bodies look great in the engine compartment. The new fuel injection kit will be great.
Here we're looking at the new components for the fuel injection. Please email and ask questions about what you would like to know concerning the kit and I'll be happy to post any answers I can. I think even Dr. 914 is a little excited about the kit.
We are running the kit two ways. One will be a drilling kit requiring holes. But if you don't want to drill we have an option for that that won't be required to drill and still be able to run the wires needed. This will enable even the most stubborn carb people to come back into the fuel injection fold.
Here you can see that Sean has our front suspension coming along. New Weltmeister front sway bar kit as well as suspension pieces that you can find in the 914 Front Axle Section of our online catalog and of course the great looking stainless steel brake lines.
Everything looks great in the white fender well.
Here we have added the front cross drilled rotors. We have chosen to go with frozen front rotors which for late model suspension is our only option for cross drilled without drilling them ourselves. If you have an early car the zimmerman rotors are nice also.
As you can also see from the photos we have taken a set of our new steel rocker panels and altered them. We thought long and hard about fibergass rocker panels. Then after talking with some of the 914 Club members they talked me into the metal flares which never existed on the original GT cars, but man do they look good.
I like these so much I think I can offer four caps for the ends of the rockers as a kit. Regardless I recomend buying your flares and rocker panels at the same time so your body person can line everything up at the same time to make sure your lines on the car are perfect. Email your feedback to me about the steel flared rocker panels and let me know if this is something you'd be interested in.
