Ahhh. Camber
plates. What a great ruby red color. We'll see what kind of suspension
upgrade this really brings.
Now on to the rocker panels. McLean is wiping them
down and preparing them for paint. We are going to make an end cap
set for the steel rocker panels so you can easily have steel flared
rocker panels. The front bumper has been bolted up with a new front
top seal.
We had the front and rear
bumpers re-chromed. The far right photo shows our fuel compartment
Here's one of our meetings. Now that the car has
an engine people are coming out of the woodwork to assist. Every
one chips in and offers suggesions and helps with the pick list before
the next session of work begins. You can even see Dr. 914 in action
making a list of suggestions before washing his hands of the car
again for that session.
McClean does some more work on our steel rocker
panels made from our reproduction steel rocker panels and paints
the fuel pump hat. Remember there were never any original steel flared
rocker panels, they were all fiberglass even on the M471 package
914.
The four cylinder headers were added by Eric along
with a Supertrapp muffler. McLean took on the gas tank with our Repair
kit.
McLean also cut our rear GT valence for the muffler.
A quick release oil drain was added and then some relay board connections.
More tuning on the new Extreme Fuel Injection kit.
Even Dr. 914 got into the act, though ultmately denying he was ever
there.
McLean paints the fuel tank and prepares for installation.
Rocker panels are painted and Sean completes some
suspension needs.
Sean also decided to adjust the clutch tube. Another
last minute adjustment!!
I hate to see cutting and welding this late in
the game.
Front GT Valance work by McLean.
New tank hardware and sending unit.
Since we used the GT front valance with the oil
cooler cut out, we had to cover the cutout which we did with GT
grill material.
Here Sean works on our floorboard subwoofer kit.
The new improvements are great.
