Side cover plate, left. Fits all 356. All 356 & 912 engine sheet metal should be painted black. The fan shrouds, however, were painted either black, silver or gray. As far as we know all 356 normal & 912 engines had black fan shrouds. Early super & super 90 engines had silver fan shrouds, although some very early super 90's had a very light gray, almost white fan shroud.late super, super 90 & 356c/sc engines had gray fan shrouds. None or this information, however, is written in stone and Porsche has no records of which colors were used for which fan shrouds.
