The original plastic part is fragile and deteriorates rapidly and failure is catastrophic. This new design incorporates an all aluminum construction that is vastly more robust than the original plastic part. It has been designed to last the lifetime of the vehicle and will tolerate multiple hose replacements. Installation is the same as the original part and includes new stainless steel mounting hardware.
