This kit consists of all the proper hardware to install heat exchangers and a muffler, including the rare copper locking nuts to ensure a perfect installation. Remember to install the exchangers one at a time and torque in an x pattern to 18 ft lbs.

Note: before ordering any 914 exhaust component, make sure you check the style of heat exchangers to determine the correct system for your car. Since all four cylinder exchangers/mufflers fit all 914s, you may not have the same muffler and components originally fitted to your car. It is advised to match an exhaust system and gasket kit to the style of heat exchangers and not the year of car or engine.

- 1970-73 1.7/1.8l models have heat exchangers that turn up before connecting to the muffler. The flange gaskets are trapezoidal with a slight bend on the long side.

- 1973-74 2.0l models have heat exchangers that are straight before connecting to the muffler. The flange gaskets are trapezoidal that are straight on the long side.

- 1975-76 models have a triangular, 3-bolt flanges where they connect to the muffler.
