Cover plate, flywheel end of engine. Fits all 356 with USA style heater. All 356 & 912 engine sheet metal should be painted black. The fan shrouds, however, were painted either black, silver or gray. As far as we know all 356 Normal & 912 engines had black fan shrouds. Early Super & Super 90 engines had silver fan shrouds, although some very early Super 90's had a very light gray, almost white fan shroud. Late Super, Super 90 & 356C/SC engines had gray fan shrouds. None or this information, however, is written in stone and Porsche has no records of which colors were used for which fan shrouds.
