If you're serious about your brakes, upgrade to GT3 brake cooling ducts. Available for street use, they are the same pieces from the 2007-and-up GT3. These brake ducts have been enhanced to improve ventilation and brake cooling. They are approximately the same size as the stock ducts, but have aggressive grooves to focus air more efficiently. No modifications are required and they fit '98 and up 911 and all Boxster and Cayman.
