Never undercoated and stored for the last 20 years, the car has an interesting story. Years ago the car was hit in the right rear quarter panel that folded it forward somewhat. Back then, 914s were not worth much, so this under 100 thousand mile original car was put in a garage where it lingered for 20 years, the owner using the car for parts to fix up his other 74. He removed the original dash, the carpets the windshield lenses and other small parts, keeping the car safe and dry in Mississippi. Finally he decided to find a 2.0 engine, and called us, suggesting a trade, our 2.0 factory engine for the car. He brought the car to us, and we were shocked at what we saw! The car was in complete original condition with only minor easy repairable damage! It should have NEVER been stripped for minor parts. The original engine and transmission were in perfect shape still wearing the original fuel injection, the trunks were clean and original, and the underside was pristine having never had body work or rust of any kind. One saturn yellow repaint only. There was NO WAY we would sell parts from this car, so began reassembling and servicing it. The first thing we did was to pull out the minor damage. As you can see by the picture, the pulled out damage was really nothing as we did not paint the quarter panel. We installed the missing parts, restored the fuel and braking system powder coated the original steel wheels added new Michelin tires. The engine and transmission suspension and wheel bearings were serviced and now the car is ready to drive anywhere to your house.
