914 1973-74 2.0L

Doug Bursch, an old Porsche racer from way back, was discontent with his factory muffler every time he raced. Having great design skill due to his engineering background, he took it upon himself to design a muffler that would suit his high performance needs. This need spawned an industry and today Doug is known for the best performance Porsche muffler systems money can buy. This particular Bursch street muffler is quiet, high performance and single tail-piped to neatly exit through the stock valance. The best alternative to the factory systems. When ordering, make sure you get a muffler installation kit (part number B9142510000B)._x000B__x000B_NOTE: Before ordering any 914 exhaust system, make sure you check the style of heat exchangers to determine the correct system for your car. Since all four cylinder exchangers/mufflers fit all 914s, you may not have the same muffler and components originally fitted to your car. It is advised to match an exhaust system and gasket kit to the style of heat exchangers and not the year of car or engine._x000B__x000B_- 1970-73 1.7/1.8L models have heat exchangers that turn up before connecting to the muffler.
