If your starter is on its way out, you will notice an intermittent clicking noise and a delay in the vehicle actually starting. Eventually you hear a metallic screeching noise that is a sure sign that your starters Bendix mechanism, bearings or solenoid are Kaput. When ordering a new starter be sure to check the rubber cap on the terminal for cracks which allows moisture in and it is a good idea to check your starters hardware as well. This is a new starter which is specifically for the M64.06/08 and M64.22/24 with Tiptronic Transmissions ONLY!! Sold Individually.
