The Porsche 987 2.7l Cayman Boxster is a load of fun to drive and out shines its competition in class. With some additional programming to adjust the cars timing and air fuel mixtures, we are able to gain improved performance on the 2.7l engine. The biggest difference when you flash the 987 is the overall improvement of the power curve. The car has much better throttle response whether the tiptronic or 6speed transmission. Where the car is sluggish off the line, the newly flashed car picks up right away and pulls harder through the mid and top end rpm range. Overall, the daily driving characteristics are vastly improved while providing you additional benefits that the Porsche 987 craves for.

Stock power - 241hp and 201ft/lbs
Tuned power - 260hp and 212ft/lbs

With the vr tuned ecu flash, basic bolt-on performance parts will not require a retune of your ecu. Adding parts such as an exhaust, headers, air intake, throttlebody and plenum, will all adjust with the tune. Raising the secondary o2 limits for cat delete or high flow cats as well as raising the rev limiter is available upon request. If you add higher octane fuel, the ecu will adjust accordingly. Anytime you add higher octane, the fuel will burn slower providing your vehicle with improved performance. We never recommend using leaded gas such as c16 as this will destroy your o2 sensors and catalytic converters. Further custom tuning is available with provided dyno sheets or datalogging.
