Dear customer: Welcome to our Auto Atlanta monthly newsletter, focused on all things Porsche. Each month we will provide the latest news from our very active Porsche business. There is always something exciting happening here and we would like to share it with you, our fellow Porsche enthusiast. Since 1978, you can always depend on Automobile Atlanta for the best in parts, service, restoration, and of course, detailed tech advice!

September was a very busy month for us here at Auto Atlanta! We celebrated the 50th anniversary of the 914, built our new massive front wall, received a 200 thousand dollar inventoryfrom the retiring Al at Parts Heaven, and are continuing to expand and rebuild our building with the massive new roof truss system! All of this while constantly serving our fellow Porsche enthusiasts with the best selection of parts and great tech advice.

We were honored to be asked to provide the 914 50th anniversary exhibit at Porsche headquarters here in Atlanta, with seven historically significant 914s. On 9/14 dr914 gave an very enlightening talk on the
cars, acquisitions, and restorations, and how each fits into Porsche history. Among the cars featured are the Peter Gregg 916, the best and lowest mile willow green 914-6 in the world, the original Motor Trend car of the year, the Matsuda collection black and yellow limited edition, and the startlingly beautiful gemini blue metallic M471 914-6 GT.

In preparation for the next day get together at Auto Atlanta, the press was on to finish our massive front wall that replaced the old rail road ties dr914 had personally built years ago, while at the same time, raising the front parking lot with solid Allen Block construction. Now when you come to visit us you cannot miss our lot. It is WAY above everything else on the South Marietta Parkway

And the building reconstruction continues... Built in 1946, our facility used to be an old porcelain factory with giant kilns producing porcelain telephone pole insulators, while at the same time drying out the timbers and corrugated tin pre Butler building construction to the point where the frame was cracking and falling down! Our solution was to drop I beams through the old roof, erect the superstructure above, and tear down the old building from the inside. Now we are almost through with both the main building and the long overdue expansion to the new back wall (built at the turn of the last century). Our new expanded shop will more than accommodate all of your customers Porsche needs as well as double our parts storage area; And just in time:

We are happy and sad to announce that we have acquired an expansive collection of 914 and 944 parts from the now closed Parts Heaven. Al decided to retire after all of these years . Shipped here in a 55 foot 40 thousand pound full container, these California rust free, dry parts will be housed in perfect order to fill our customers needs. Used parts, these days, are especially important as Porsche discontinues parts for their older models every day, and many of the new parts made are of the lowest quality. Why not call and give us a try next time you are looking for a used 914 924 944 or 968 part? Chances are now that we have it.

We need a guy well versed in basic mechanics who can perfectly dismantle and then reassemble a 914 to the highest perfection for our customers. We are about to list on e bay an excellent 1971 Porsche 914-6, selling it for the owner. As you all know most 914-6 models were made in 1970 and only about 443 were manufactured in 1971 making this car rare indeed. It has the complete ownership record since new and was just thoroughly serviced by our award winning Porsche shop, so is ready for the drive (or the float) home anywhere!

We are looking for good rebuildable brake caliper cores. Anyone who has purchased them from us previously and has not returned the cores has money waiting. Anyone who has extra ones can send them here and we will pay 100 a set plus your post office shipping here.

We will have the first of the recreated Porsche 914 dashes late next week. We are very excited about the production of these perfect factory look reproduction dash pads and know that they will fill a large gap in the 914 restoration market

Very rare car built in July of 1970 of all things and actually posses from the factory a 70 style vinyl interior, one that slipped out before the beginning of the 71 production. Great find and perfect for investment
