VR TUNED ECU FLASH TUNE
RVRT9972TT - Replacement/Accessory

Price: $2,295.00

Description

The Porsche 997 turbo has been a huge success for the tuning market. Having owned a 2011 turbo s and spent time doing r&d on a 2010 turbo, we have the experience to untame these beasts. With a simple ecu flash, the dfi 997 turbo gains over 100 horsepower. This is unheard of on any other vehicle and the dollar per horsepower cannot be duplicated. The dfi 6 cylinder, 3.8l engine offers much more to gain then what is in the 500hp engine of the pdk or 6speed cars. The turbochargers come on quicker giving you substantially improved torque, the power delivery is more linear, and the car continues to pull through the mid range all the way to redline. With the substantial performance increase, suprising the daily driveability is also enhanced. The power is there when your foot wants it, but the Porsche never loses its 997 comfortable feeling.

The 997 turbo dfi comes stock with 500 hp from the factory. Dyno testing on 91oct and in awd on our mustang dyno, there is typically a 20% drivetrain loss. So this means the car would baseline at about 400awhp. This is pretty accurate as a 997.1tt on our dyno makes about 380 and it comes stock with 480. The attached dyno sheet shows the car made 500awhp with the addition of a exhaust and y-pipe that typically yield a 20-25hp difference. In the end, the car making about 70-80awhp equates to 115bhp gain.

Crank horsepower ratings:
Stock power - 500hp and 480ft/lbs
Tuned power - 615hp and 590ft/lbs

With the vr tuned ecu flash, basic bolt-on performance parts will not require a retune of your ecu. Adding parts such as an exhaust, headers, air intake, throttlebody and plenum, will all adjust with the tune. Raising the secondary o2 limits for cat delete or high flow cats as well as raising the rev limiter is available upon request. If you add higher octane fuel, the ecu will adjust accordingly. Anytime you add higher octane, the fuel will burn slower providing your vehicle with improved performance. We never recommend using leaded gas such as c16 as this will destroy your o2 sensors and catalytic converters. Further custom tuning is available with provided dyno sheets or datalogging.
