The 997 GT2 is already a blistering fast version of the 997 turbo. Rear wheel drive, lighter weight, and some race oriented modifications, the GT2 is the pinnacle of the 997 turbo chassis. Coming stock with 523 horsepower to the crank, this car is one to be scared of. But as with any other turbocharged car, there is more hidden inside it. Having owned a 2007 997 turbo built in stages and taken all the way to 825hp, we know what it is like to have the Porsche from mild to wild. Being able to working with hundreds of 997 turbo and GT2 owners worldwide, we have the experience and knowledge to give your daily driver or track car the next level treatment. With some adjustments to the boost level, timing, and air fuel mixtures, we gain almost 90hp to the crank. The ecu flash improves with both standard and sport mode. Standard mode should see about 16psi where sport mode will peak at around 18-19psi. The vtg turbos have a egt (exhaust gas temperature) sensor in them so if you repeatedly run the car hard in sport mode, it will gradually get slower and slower compared to standard mode. With the increased boost and horsepower, we highly recommend changing your spark plugs to a 1 step colder plugs such as the denso ik22 or the ngk bkr7eix. Stock plugs with over 5000 miles will typically cause the car to misfire at peak torque around 4000rpm.

With the vr tuned ecu flash, basic bolt-on performance parts will not require a retune of your ecu. Adding parts such as an exhaust, headers, air intake, throttlebody and plenum, will all adjust with the tune. Raising the secondary o2 limits for cat delete or high flow cats as well as raising the rev limiter is available upon request. If you add higher octane fuel, the ecu will adjust accordingly. Anytime you add higher octane, the fuel will burn slower providing your vehicle with improved performance. We never recommend using leaded gas such as c16 as this will destroy your o2 sensors and catalytic converters. Further custom tuning is available with provided dyno sheets or datalogging.
