This is accomplished via the use of a small linkage or link which connects the sensor to the suspension. As the car is raised or lowered, the link moves the sensor up or down sending a signal to the computer telling it how high the car is. When you replace the non-adjustable factory link with this adjustable design, the output of the sensor makes the computer believe that the car is higher than it is.
