When the clutch pedal is depressed, the hydraulic pressure from the master cylinder engages a piston in the slave cylinder to actuate the clutch fork to release your clutch. If the slave cylinder develops a leak or fails, you will not be able to engage or disengage the clutch to shift gears. We also recommend installing a new pressure accumulator, part # FVD641605003 and O-ring, part # 99970722440. Installing them together will reduce future labor costs.
